- Vibbyis a fast-growing video platform that enables users to clip, share and discuss the moments that matter. Thereby making content more engaging, as well as providing invaluable analytics on user interaction at a very granular level. Allows users to upload any video content in any format.
Pedagogical Ideas
In the classroom, this technology can be used for the following:
- Vibby allows for the users to upload videos from any medium and receive feedback on created videos. Thus, it can be great tool to get feedback about videos and see what parts other users find engaging.
- The application comes with a simple user-friendly interface that allows users to highlight the most relevant parts from any video in just three steps. All you have to do is select a video, paste the link and Vibby will have you editing in seconds.
- Vibby significantly useful is the function to seamlessly switch back and forth between watching a highlighted version or the full video in case you want more (or less) context.
- The editing tool allows users to set a specific timeframe for each highlight and further offers a commenting feature where people can annotate what makes each important.
- Allows for the instructors or students to store videos in and from any format. Great opportunity for instructors to include personalized videos.
- Could be used as a medium for showcasing videos without the advertisements that would show on a site like youtube. Instructors or students could upload there video on youtube.com and then post the link here.
- Vibby allows for editing of videos as well making it ideal for clipping videos or clips that could be used in the classroom.
