ABSTRACT

Most students have a general idea of what makes a study quantitative or qualitative in nature, but do they really understand what goes into conducting each of these types of studies? This presentation describes engaging activities that can be used to introduce students to data collection and analysis for both quantitative and qualitative studies. While originally designed for ground-based courses, this presentation also provides some ideas for modifications that can be implemented for the online environment.
