The paper addresses the important question of whether it is worth the time and effort to gamify some course lessons as a means in improve performance. This is within the scope of the JIR, and a very interesting paper. I'm not a huge fan of the PowerPoint games, but there are a few online games I share with students to help them improve performance in certain areas. This is a good paper reviewing the literature in this area, and adds to the knowledge base.
