The SoTL Researcher Badge is awarded to faculty members who conduct original research in the field of teaching and learning, contributing valuable insights and knowledge to the academic community and advancing the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
Publication in SoTL Journals
Level 1: Has at least one peer-reviewed publication in a recognized SoTL journal.
Level 2: Has multiple peer-reviewed publications in recognized SoTL journals.
Level 3: Has numerous peer-reviewed publications in top-tier SoTL journals, contributing significantly to the field.
SoTL Conference Presentations
Level 1: Has participated in a SoTL conference as a speaker or presenter.
Level 2: Has presented at multiple SoTL conferences, or at major international SoTL conferences.
Level 3: Regularly presents at SoTL conferences and is recognized as a leading speaker in the field.
Academic Conference Funds
Level 1: Has received funding for presenting SoTL research at a conference (GCU funding included)
Level 2: Has secured funding externally specifically for SoTL presentations at national or international conferences.
Level 3: Has consistently secured funding (either internal or external) and recognition for SoTL presentations, influencing conference agendas.
Impact of Research
Level 1: Shows localized impact through citations, educational improvements, or testimonials within their own institution.
