Advocate
The SoTL Advocate Badge is awarded to individuals who actively promote and advocate for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) within the academic community, encouraging colleagues to engage in evidence-based teaching practices and research. It is open to all GCU faculty.
Here are some examples of what Advocacy can look like:
Conducting or attending CIRT workshops and webinars such as: the SoTL Summit, CIRT webinars or in-person meetings
Completing SoTL workshops or certificates such as: Research Ready SoTL, SoTL and Generative AI
Advocacy Initiatives: Documented efforts to promote SoTL through various channels, such as newsletters, faculty meetings, or social media.
SoTL Resource Sharing: Sharing SoTL resources, research findings, or best practices with colleagues, reposting CIRT or GCU Journal posts on social media
Development of SoTL Communities: Involvement in creating or sustaining SoTL communities of practice in partnership with CIRT
