The SoTL Teacher Badge recognizes educators who demonstrate excellence in teaching through the application of SoTL principles and methodologies in their instructional practices, resulting in enhanced student learning outcomes.
Here are some examples of what this can look like:
Incorporation of SoTL Principles: Documentation of how SoTL methodologies are integrated into teaching practices, such as reflective teaching methods, formative assessments, or student feedback mechanisms. Student Learning Outcomes: Measurable improvements in student learning outcomes attributable to the application of SoTL practices. Teaching Awards or Recognitions: Receipt of institutional or external awards for teaching excellence. This can also include being invited to CIRT's Teaching Showcase Teaching Portfolio: Brief Video or Article submission to CIRT that includes evidence of innovative teaching practices and reflections on teaching philosophy and effectiveness. |
