CIRT Would Like To Congratulate Megan Neel and Remilyn Mueller For Their Recent Presentations At The Online Learning Consortium (OLC)
Lyn Mueller, and Megan Neel were among seven who recently represented Grand Canyon University at Online Learning Consortium in Dallas, Texas at the onsite synchronous sessions April 11-14. The conference comprised two parts an online asynchronous and onsite synchronous component and was well represented with GCU presenters including Marnie Davis, Danielle Henderson, Dulce Ruelas, Helen Hammond, and Jean Mandernach. Mandernach was also presented the MERLOT (Multimedia Educational Resources for Learning and Online Teaching) Rising Star Award for her work on OER in psychology during the conference.

CIRT Would Like To Congratulate Danielle Henderson and Dulce Ruelas For Their Recent Presentation at the Online Learning Consortium (OLC)
CIRT would like to congratulation Danielle Henderson and Dulce Ruelas for their recent Presentation at OLC titled: "Using Slack to Mentor Public Health Research Assistants". The session was aimed toward innovative strategies for improving virtual collaboration amongst full-time public health faculty and student research assistants.
Session description: A technology application, Slack, created an interactive real-time virtual workspace for research assistants across the nation to receive the same information compiled all in one location with experienced faculty. Interactions increased two-fold while allowing one on one faculty mentorship. Lessons learned included overwhelming interactions, boundary-setting, time management.
