Love this! I am also a fan of EdPuzzle... so many creative ways to use it in the classroom depending on what you are trying to achieve. As Mark mentioned, it is a great device to prompt active learning. If you are looking to integrate into your classroom, there are a number of different things you can measure to gauge if you are increasing active learning. For example:
1) You can use EdPuzzle to increase students' use of video instructional resources prior to face-to-face classes to ensure that students are prepared to more effectively engage in classroom activities. As such, you could measure "active learning" as a function of video viewing metrics or the quality of in-class discussions.
2) You can integrate as a component of online discussions to promote engagement with the video prior to asynchronous dialogue. You could then measure shifts in active learning as a function of the number of student discussion posts or the quality of responses.
I would love to hear how others are using EdPuzzle and what metrics you might use to gauge if you are meeting your instructional objectives.
