Dr. Bamba, I truly enjoyed your presentation. It was a great reminder to use the PHONE! I often communicate with my students, but I need to make an effort to contact them by phone.
Also, thank you for the reminder about the modeling of leadership. I use a welcome video to my students via Youtube video. However, I do need to follow up with an individual call.
Thank you very much for your feedback, and I am glad you enjoyed our presentation. The welcome video via YouTube is wonderful, too. Students often are quite curious at the beginning of a class to meet the new instructor. Take care and stay blessed,
I enjoyed your presentation! I love your emphasis on CATs, flexibility, and the connection between servant leadership and welcome calls. These are all important concepts to keep in mind. In particular, I enjoyed what you said about remaining flexible with our students. While it is important to maintain guidelines to which students must adhere, I have always believed that it is just as important to show students grace and hope when and where it is possible. Students choose online programs because in many ways they offer more flexibility, and this is important to keep in mind in all of our interactions with students.
Thanks very much! I know we do share a passion for flexibility and the part it plays in helping students succeed. We learn quite a bit from our students as well, when we offer them grace, as you said. I look forward to collaborating with you in the future. I think you offer a lot to the students, too.
