As a new adjunct faculty member, this will be a new experience for me that I am wholeheartedly embracing. I would like to facilitate discussions incorporating values to the content they are learning.  I also understand that students may come from various religions and beliefs but focusing on their worldviews in discussions will create deeper levels of thinking, understanding and respect.

In my science classes, I incorporate these principles by fostering honesty, respect, and responsibility in learning. I encourage students to think critically, support one another, and recognize the importance of ethical conduct in both academics and everyday life.

Being able to incorporate your faith in a learning environment is so refreshing. As a new instructor, I will continue to let my light shine for Christ and be a witness. I will afford students to do the same and cultivate a space where the Doctrinal Statement is a core principle.

As a new instructor at GCU, I will encourage students to lean on their faith throughout the term by sharing my favorite bible verses. That way, students can feel good about attending to their prayers and faith during the day, even during their studies. It can also help them to overcome adversity. For those reasons and more, my classroom will promote students to cherish and embrace Christian values.

I am new so I will be incorporating this once I begin teaching.  Previously, at C-N University, we "integrated faith and learning" within our courses in each discipline.  I will encourage students to reflect on their worldview, their faith, and give them the advice I have given all students at my previous Christian university, "love one another, always and without exception".

My personal faith in Jesus Christ influences how I approach teaching and interacting with students.    I try to reflect the values in the doctrinal statement by emphasizing compassion, service, and respect for every individual while encouraging thoughtful discussion about ethical issues in healthcare.

I am honored to be a part of a university that encourages and uphold Christian faith and worldview. I respect students backround as to what they believe and even disagreements that promote critical thinking while maintaining respect for one another's view.

I encourage students to examine how the Doctrinal Statement and its foundational beliefs influence learning, moral reasoning, and cultural engagement. This helps them think critically about the relationship between belief systems and academic disciplines while reflecting on how worldview shapes their own approach to their work.

I am privileged to be part of a college that upholds a Christian worldview. I encourage students to share their faith and in turn, this allows them the freedom to apply their values and beliefs in their work. In addition to this, I believe it's important to practice kindness and understanding towards every student and background. I hope to model a Jesus-centered life for prospective students.

I allow students the freedom to explore how they can apply the doctrinal statements in their storytelling. This experimentation promotes critical thinking while also encouraging evangelism.

I have used the doctrinal statement in teaching creative writing by starting with theme and each student's belief system and world perspective.

I firmly believe that divine faith cannot be separated from modern life, and that we must teach students to live in alignment with the will of the one true God, the Creator of heaven and earth who has revealed Himself through Scripture.

As a Christian, the doctrinal statement is a strong foundation for strengthening and reminding me of my convictions. At the heart of all we say and do is our belief in God, our faith in Jesus Christ and our willingness to allow the Holy Spirit to work in and through us in our relationships.  Whenever and wherever the opportunity presents itself, whether on Campus, in the classroom, or in our communities, we must exemplify Jesus Christ.  We are commanded to show and respond with love, through our words and actions, regardless of whether others share our beliefs or worldviews.  That is my commitment as a Christian and what I strive to do each day. The message of the gospel is much needed in these turbulent times in our world and every Christian believer has an important role to play.

As I move through my orientation at GCU, I’ve been reflecting on how meaningful it is to teach in a place where faith and learning go hand in hand. I’m genuinely excited to use the university’s doctrinal statement as a foundation for engaging with students—whether they come from a Christian background or are exploring other beliefs. It’s a powerful tool for creating thoughtful conversations, encouraging deeper understanding, and helping students grow both spiritually and academically in a supportive, faith-centered environment.
