"In his 2012 book, Rush: Why You Need And Love The Rat Race, economist Todd Buchholz claims that escaping the turbulent working world will not aid your happiness. While many might view work as misery, a sampling of 27,000 workers between 1972 and 2006 revealed that that 86% of Americans were satisfied with their jobs (Landes, 2012)."
