Grand Canyon University is committed to providing materials and resources to promote student success in the online environment. Through Office Online, GCU students have the ability to access and share Word documents with Microsoft SkyDrive. This resource has facilitated successful completion of CLC group projects, enabling students to contribute to the same document and make live edits. Students who used the resource in past classes have commended it for reducing revision time on group assignments, preventing confusion with different assignment versions, and for creating another layer of transparency in the online team environment.

Faculty members are not required to have students utilize Microsoft SkyDrive in the online classroom, but may wish to provide instructions for CLC groups who do want to take advantage of the system feature. Instructions for accessing and sharing documents are attached to this message.
