Just had a faculty member share a wonderful suggestion... since the English language has almost no words that start "aa", you can hot key all your comments to begin with these two letters. So, if you have a consistent comment about margins, you can hot key it "aamargins". Great way to name your custom comment bank so that you don't have to have a "cheat sheet" of your hot key codes!
I use the ~ key as my code for autocorrects and I follow it with a word that will remind me what it's for. For example, ~cap translates to Capitalize only the first word and proper nouns in titles of books, web pages, and journal articles. ~indent translates to Indent the first word of every paragraph 1/2 inch. Such a great time saver!
