I found this to be very informative. I like that it said to be proactive and not reactive. I love the one minute summary idea. I use KWL charts with my junior high students in my English classes, so why not with the GCU students. It is great to try new things...keep teaching fresh...and most importantly to increase the learning of the students. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your comment, Shelly. Iagree that keeping fresh is a great idea no matter what level we teach. We were trying to find good ways to add formative assessments in the online classroom as we have done in traditional education classrooms. It is important for us to guide our instruction as to how well our students are mastering the objectives. I think the one minute summary and KWL are a great way to do this in the online classroom. We are trying to find as many strategies as possible.
