| | | | | | | As the name suggests, the focus of this event is to help professors find the right technology tools, assemble engaging speakers, provide enriching professional development, and gather like-minded educators for refreshing collegial networking that the higher education community has come to expect from Magna and events. The Magna Teaching with Technology Conference provides a thought-provoking and stimulating forum for educators of all disciplines and experience levels to share practical ideas and best practices for using technology to advance teaching and learning in higher education. We seek interactive sessions that engage and inform attendees. Experience-Based Proposals reflect a technology-as-tool approach to pedagogy with immediate take-away applications for the conference attendee. Evidence-Based Proposals reflect data-driven approaches to the interactions of technology with learning, giving the conference attendee guidance to make future pedagogic decisions or engage in similar research.
- Active Learning Pedagogies
- Learning Design
- Emergent Technologies
- Faculty Development
- Student Assessment
Submissions should relate to one of the above areas; however compelling and relevant proposals that fall outside of these designated topics are also welcome. The Magna Teaching with Technology Conference is three intensive days of plenary sessions, preconference workshops, concurrent sessions, poster sessions, and more. Here is your chance to be a part of it in 2018. Submissions are due February 27, 2018.
