All Students, Staff, Faculty and Alumni of Grand Canyon University are invited to submit a paper addressing "Diversity." Specific topics may be drawn from government, business, education, science, or the workplace. Submissions will be considered for recognition and presentation at an Honors Symposium in December 2012, and for publication.
This symposium is intended to provide a forum for all interested students, staff, faculty and alumni to express their positions regarding the theme of the symposium, Diversity. The topic can be approached from a religious or philosophical perspective or other more discipline-specific perspectives. By way of example, the following are offered as possible topics:
The deadline for submissions is September 30, 2012. Papers are subject to peer review. Those selected for presentation at the symposium, as well as others deemed "honorable mention," may be published in the Canyon Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies (CJIS) symposium issue (http://cirt.gcu.edu/research/cjis). Notification to those individuals whose papers are selected for formal presentation at the symposium will be made by November 1, 2012. The symposium will be held at the Ken Blanchard College of Business the week of December 5th. (The exact date will be selected and announced after the start of the fall 2012 semester).
