2019 was a year of enhancing pedagogical skills and rewarding research and publication milestones. I was able to work with the Latino Caucus of Public Health in affiliation with the American Public Health Association in publishing three poems in the bilingual (Spanish and English) book Latinx Salud Poems, An Inaugural Collection. I received first place for one of the poems on a popular national vote-Impacto, a poem on health equity and justice. The other two poems Politicamente Insegura and Politcally Correct, address immigration and immigrant, travels through a public health lens. I published research in the Journal of Instructional Research, Enhancing Online Learning for Public Health Graduate Students on improving the quality of online learning by implementing a series of videos for students in the Masters of Public Health Program at Grand Canyon University.

Moreover, I also worked hand in hand with Danielle Henderson, another MPH Instructor where we have started an MPH Graduate Faculty Flipgrid and have published our work in the Journal of Instructional Research Increasing Master of Public Health Faculty Communication, Collaboration and Consistency through Flipgrid. Finally, working on the last stages of the doctoral capstone on breastfeeding research for my Doctor of Public Health degree has set the pathway to being able to be a moderator at the American Public Health Association Conference for a section on Digital and Biotechnological Innovation to Improve Latinx Health Disparities session where I worked with eight different presenters. Among other continuous professional development training that I take advantage of monthly in regards to public health, breastfeeding, and higher learning, I look forward to 2020 were the research of online instruction in links with the end of course surveys would be published.
