I am wondering if you will be incorporating more than one type of "active learning strategy" and provide details on the effectiveness of each "active learning strategy" that can be used in the online environment. I think this would add more originalty to the presentation because currently, if you are an online instructor you are already using one or more forms of an "active learning strategy". While the idea and concept is relevant it is not original. What other types of technology can be incorporated into this presentation that will give it a wow! "original "it" factor"? I was hoping to find "new" information that would be innovative and "cutting-edge" as an instructor who has been teaching online courses for quite some time and looking for new ways to motivate and inspire students to be leaders in their learning.
I have done extensive research on constructivism, and this theory is very effective in student learning. Assessing knowledge of students and building off that knowledge on an individual basis is helpful for the students and for the instructor to gauge student understanding. For the traditional classroom, I think that students have a difficult time reading and watching videos outside of class time unless there is some kind of graded assignment based off that information.
