This presentation will discuss several CATs that a faculty member can easily implement in the online classroom, resulting in benefits for both students and instructor. Classroom Assessment Techniques, or CATs, are helpful strategies that college educators can use to improve teaching effectiveness.  These tools offer valuable, short-term feedback about what the students are learning, and can be utilized throughout the course.

Cheryl Patton is a registered technologist in radiology and mammography through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.  Cheryl received her B.S. in Health Arts as well as her M.S. in Health Services Administration through the University of St. Francis.  She will start studying for her Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership this fall.

Cheryl worked in the health field for over 20 years. She has taught health-related courses to students of higher education for eight years, in both face-to-face and online forums.  She currently teaches exclusively online, enjoying the freedom of travel the asynchronous delivery allows.
