For nearly a year now, I have been encouraging my students in EDA 586 A/B Administrative Internship to videoconference their assignments and discussion questions. We have been using Skype as well as google docs. The university now has Microsoft Office Online for us to use. It is identical to google docs. By using these tools, Individuals are able to add expression into their responses to lead the conversation to a higher level of critical thinking. It also develops interpersonal and communication skills in a new modality which will be widely used in the future. The following animoto presentation shows a typical view of a videoconference utilizing google docs and Skype. I have attachments of how you can sign up for skype and Microsoft Office as well as student's comments on how these tools helped them with critical thinking.
