This presentation will focus on the characteristics of adult learners and their unique needs. It will also cover the attributes that adult learners value in their faculty members and trainers. Finally, we will cover some creative instructional strategies that foster critical thinking and reflection in the classroom and training sessions.
Presenter Information:
Cristie McClendon | Dr. McClendon currently serves as a qualitative research specialist for Grand Canyon University. Prior to this position she was a faculty specialist for GCU. She has held a variety of positions in higher education including program chair, director of institutional effectiveness, and assistant professor. Additionally, she has served as a teacher and administrator in elementary, middle and high school settings. She also teaches at GCU and serves as a dissertation chair and member. |
