I have prepared posts for each week that include variations of content using a variety of techniques; i.e. quotes from course materials, links to outside resources, CATs, etc. The objectives stay the same which mean the discussion will probably as well. I then use those prepared posts to build upon when responding to each student at least once a week. -Jessica.
I like having my bank of participation responses for each week. I ensure that I include some with professional/personal experience and some outside sources as well. I also like having my CAT pre-written for each week.
* Grade DQ’s while posting
* Save up a bank of help posts that can be personalized and fit with the objectives of the week
* Keep track of students who have been posted to assure that each student is responded to every two weeks (or every week for smaller classes)
