Ever wonder if you are running the most recent version of Zoom?

Updates are automatically sent to University computers. If not using a university computer, when using the desktop app, click on your profile pic in the upper right corner of the screen. In the dropbox, click on Check for Updates. If an update exists, you'll be prompted to install it. 

More information on releases will be shared in this forum. To receive these notifications, directly from Zoom, navigate to https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/sections/360008531132-Zoom-Releases-By-Date and click on Follow.

Here are updates received as of 1/20/2021:

NEW!

  • Alternate hosts now have a "Contact Host" button.
  • Participants can now edit their layout from within View Options (top-right corner of window).
  • Layout options now include: Side-By-Side: Speaker and Side-By-Side: Gallery (in addition to Follow Host’s View, Speaker, Gallery, and Standard)
  • Users can now blur their background
  • Enhanced file transfers within Chat
