I wasn't quite sure of how to title this. I have a student who I will call Anne for the sake of helping to describe the situation.
For directions of videos and other possibilities for classroom observations, I posted a list of videos with specific directions in several forums (attached). Anne did not like her grade or the fact that she did not earn any time towards the required 10 observation hours of this course. She did not interview a staff (1 hour required), she did not observe (3 possible format provided). Instead the entire paper was about her previous classroom experience. No where in any assignment direction is this posted as an option. This was 2 weeks ago.
Now since her grade she has called me names, insisted that the percentage shown on the platform is not correct, and has felt obliged to insist that I give her the credit although she is insistent on doing the work "her way" because she already has a Master's Degree. She has insisted on talking over the phone with me even though I have informed her that I am hearing impaired and would be glad to give her the contact information of another professor who may be able to help. She has now reported me for not wanting to talk to her and has tried to accuse me of not being truthful in regard to my hearing loss. I did inform here that she has now discriminated against me as a hearing impaired instructor. (she has actually done more - but for lack of time, I summarized)
I'm completely at a loss. Even if I did find a way to "talk" over the phone, I would not trust her with my contact information. This has been reported, but It is unclear to me what is being done to protect me from her abuse, seeing how this is continuing. I would love some ideas on what to do next.
