Technology Teaching Tools

Technology Teaching Tools are short, online, asynchronous modules highlighting a technology teaching tool along with relevant pedagogical implementation strategies. Some of the CIRT Technology Tools discussed below rely on freeware downloads. Pedagogical Ideas

In the classroom, Screencast-O-Matic can be used in a variety of ways. Some ideas include the following:

  • Share a Project - Students capture the screens of their classroom presentations and upload to YouTube for viewing by other classmates.
  • Teach Me - Capture screen shots to demonstrate how to use a new software tool. Share them with colleagues or classmates. 
  • Teacher Exclusive: Lesson Preservation - Use Screencast-o-Matic to preserve that perfect lesson you just delivered via your SmartBoard. Upload it to YouTube for your place in the annals of teaching glory!
