Two of the major issues or concerns that emerge when discussing classroom management are how to help student prepare themselves for class and how to lock them in and engage them in meaningful conversations and sharing of content (Fink, 2003). These challenges are even greater in the online arena of higher education. Sherer and Shea (2002) stated technology has created the opportunity for instructors to engage with students outside of the typical brick and mortar classroom confinements and enhance the learning of the students. The use of video in the online university classroom has provided the opening for instructors to virtually connect with their students and provide them the channel to feel a part of a traditional classroom from any location across the globe.
