The purpose of the teaching circle is to have the "go to" person or a group of individuals to turn to in times of need. During our teaching circles we can share ideas about incorporating multimedia, creating rubrics, course curriculum, sharing resources, and much more. A sense of community and the feeling of belonging can help to minimize the feeling of solitude. We all have wonderful ideas to share, which cannot only benefit ourselves as instructors, but ultimately our students.

Please click on the resource tabs (above) to collaborate, share and locate resources to facilitate effective instruction of this course. You are invited to be an active member of this teaching circle; as such, please feel free to add your own materials as well as use the materials contributed by others.

To help guide our collaboration, information can be sorted as follows:

  • DOCUMENTS tab - The documents area allows you a shared folder to upload course materials (such as rubrics, reference tools and other documents which will compliment the current curriculum).
  • FORUMS tab - The forums area is a place to post questions where you are in need of assistance or to generate a discussion about your course.
  • WIKI tab - The wiki area is a collaborative workspace in which you can share personal experiences, activities conducted with your students, personal websites, and resources to review.

Remember, the Teaching Circle is a place to share information in regards to GCU's courses and coursework. The expectation is faculty will remain professional and abide by Netiquette guidelines as originally demonstrated in our faculty trainings. Please refrain from any negative, personal reflections and opinions.
