I enjoyed participating in this service event and believe that this is a great way to help our online students feel more connected to the school. Also, this makes people feel good and that can create a more positive attitude as a whole. It looks like you had a good response for the first time doing this project. Do you plan on implementing this again in the future? If so, would you complete the project the same way or differently. Again, great job!
Thank you for your comment, Beverly! We do plan on continuing Serve Your City at GCU - we are looking at the month of October. Michelle and I are looking forward to continuing our research on this project.
This concept of servant learning reminds me of servant leadership that is taught in our Ken Blanchard College of Business. I think that leading by example and showing our students how to improve are the most effective strategies. "Saying it" and "doing it" are two different things. Great work, Ladies!
