"No matter how expert, empathetic and enthusiastic an instructor is, instructional clarity is still necessary for motivating instruction; people seldom learn what they cannot understand"(Wlodkowski, 1999).   Confusion creates anxiety and unnecessary stress which is motivationally distracting. Concerning the task of engaging and motivating students to learn, instructional clarity is a foundational place to begin. Specifically in the Angel classroom, course content including assignments have already been written and are in place.  Nonetheless, there still room for online instructors to enhance instructional clarity.   How can we as online instructors enhance instructional clarity?  Specifically, in the Angel classroom there are at least three areas in which instructional clarity can be enhanced: weekly expectations, assignment instructions/clarifications, and student feedback.
